Philadelphia

Only spent half a day here visiting the Liberty Hall and staring at some bell so not much photo. Most of the shots were taken from the car as the driver sped down the quiet streets of philly.

Are u miserable?

Nothing much to do while waiting for the liberty hall tour so I decided to play with some flowers.

Big Apple

Busy busy NY. Not a bad place, too bad cant spend New Year's eve here =.="

Some ball outside the United Nation HQ in NY. Too bad its wkend and they dun have all the flags up when i was there.

The interior of the UN. I kinda like the stairs (right side of the pic) so here it goes again ^^

Kinda neat huh.

Okie enough of UN. Its NY, time for some city shots.

Time Square NY

7th Ave, where all the museums and some boardways are.

Rush rush rush... Rush to the corner of the island and u'll find Central Park which is the only place in the city that has apparently retarded its throttle =)

Wall $treet~ Root of all rece$$ion$

Continue xplorinG

Smoking at Wall $treet

Okie take a break... (some random pic from Mdm Tussaud's Wax Museum)

Finally how can anyone claim to have visited New York without a pic of the lady holding the ice-cream ^^

Well some urban legend claim that its not a ice-cream but a torch instead, so heres a closer look.

Boston

I think Boston is the nicest city of my trip so far. The blue sky helps but i think the main reason is the good blend of old and new architectures all nicely packed into a beautiful city.

Old Vs New

Some building in Harvard, not a bad place to study in huh ^^

MIT is not bad either.

Church in Boston

Street in Boston

Dead people in Boston

Art in Boston

Get what i mean now ^^

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls.. Cant take too much pictures due to 2 reasons. (1) Ice will form on my camera lense the moment i look into the view finder and try to get a shot (2) My bulky gloves are preventing me from hitting those tiny buttons on my camera and guess what happens when u try to remove them at sub zero temperature ^^

The night shot is the most challenging photo i've ever taken due to the above 2 reasons and also its taken at 0.5 sec shutter speed without a tripod by someone shivering in the cold =)

Washington DC

If u're looking for memorials and museums then DC is definitely a place for you cause they have nothing else... Anyway not very good time for photos coz the weather sux.. was cloudy for most days.

Ah... Lincoln Memorial... To the flanks of the Lincoln Memorial you have the Korean War and Vietnam Veterans Memorials.

Korean War Memorial... Every single dude here has a sad and gloomy face... Must be the weather.

Vietnam Veteran Memorial. Nothing more than thousand of names of American soldiers killed during the war...

The Washington Memorial is the tallest structure you can find in DC due to some laws protecting it. Its also the centre of all the memorials and important buildings around the area.

To the north (i believe) is the White House and to the south (as shown below) is the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. To the east is the Capitol (below as well) and to the west is the Lincoln Memorial (see above). Its kinda cool cause you can see all the "attractions" from the top of the Washington Memorial and they are all nicely lined up.

Thomas Jefferson Memorial. This is a shot taken from inside the building (obviously). Will not post a shot of the inside coz its kinda similar to the Lincoln Memorial except Jefferson is standing. Anyway this is the guy who draft the Declaration of Independence (ya national treasure) on july 2nd long long time ago and it was edited by the congress and the final draft approve on july 4th (independence/my birthday). Thomas Jefferson is also the 3rd President of the United States.

This is the US Capitol. Nothing much abt it except it looks so much better than the White House.

Well from where i took the Capitol building shot, turn ard and u get the Wash. Mem. again..

This whole thingy is starting to sound like some history lesson.. But i dun really fancy talking abt my life, what i ate, what i did (wasnt the purpose of this blog either) so i figured out instead of just posting the photos, i'll just add some commentaries/background info to it.
